Austin Area Christian Counselors is a chapter group of Christian
Counselors of Texas. In order to join the local chapter, you simply need
to join the state organization. State membership allows you to take
advantage of both local and state-wide fellowship, support, and training
opportunities.
MEMBERSHIP CRITERIA
Professional Membership is open to those who hold a graduate degree in
counseling and guidance, psychology, social work, clinical pastoral counseling
and related fields as approved by the Board of Directors and who are licensed,
certified, or otherwise qualified to practice counseling in the State of Texas.
Professional members shall be the voting membership of the Association. All
elected officers shall be professional members.
Associate Membership is open to anyone who meets one or more of the
following criteria:
- pastoral interests or ministry within or to an organized church body
- others who may be licensed or certified as counselors but who do not hold
graduate degrees
so long as such persons are
practicing within the applicable laws of the State.
Student Membership is open to those who are in a graduate program in
counselor training and who have the verifying signature of their major
professor.
Retired Membership is for those who are no longer counseling and wish to
remain involved in CCT in a non-professional status.
PLEASE NOTE: Membership status is determined by the membership requirements
listed above and are written in the CCT By-Laws ARTICLE II.
Dues: Professional and Associate membership dues are $60. Retired persons
$40. Student membership is $30 (exempt first year).
